Sophia works as receptionist at BOSS Techtopia show in Milan

At the BOSS autumn and winter 2023 show in Milan, Hanson Robotics' Sophia acted as the receptionist, greeting models and directing them, then sat at a desk in the front row during the runway show. The event was themed around a future workplace full of robotics and technology. Sophia's role was promotional rather than practical. It illustrates how social humanoids are still widely used as cultural and marketing figures as much as working machines.
